This is a project for NWAPW to do 4D to 3D slicing and raytracing the 3D result.
This is the 4D Ray Tracer Project. Although we do not implement true 4D ray tracing, as that would be far too computationally intensive, we’ve settled on a more “user friendly” approach. We begin with 4D objects in a scene which we “slice” along the W-axis with a 3D plane. This results in a 3D mesh that can be ray traced to display it on the screen.
